We had a truly unforgettable time! At the beginning we were a little nervous as neither of us had ever had a rickshaw ride before. But, in no time, we realized that this was one of the best ways to experience the city! In such a short amount of time, we were able to see and learn so much! It was a very personal experience as well; our questions were answered and our interests were also taken into consideration. Our guide Kanta was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing a lot of random fun facts about Kyoto, ranging from restaurants with deep history to architecture and history. Not only did we learn so many new things, we had such a great time and were laughing the entire time! We also appreciated that Kanta took time at different scenic spots for us to take photos, and we even got to walk around a beautiful temple. Kanta was extremely caring and attentive throughout the ride, constantly checking if we were comfortable or if we wanted to take a stop. His professionalism was outstanding—he was extremely polite with everyone on the streets, making sure we were not in the way of traffic and being friendly with the people walking by. We really appreciated that he could handle our sense of humor as well! Cannot recommend this experience enough. We will definitely be doing this again the next time we are in Japan!

My friends and I met Kosuke and Masanori from Ninjaya Rickshaw back in October 2025. The tour around Uji was the highlight of our trip! Kosuke and Masanori took beautiful photos for us around Uji and made us laugh the entire time. We learned a lot of interesting facts about Uji and matcha. They were both excellent tour guides and photographers. I highly recommend Ninjaya Rickshaw!
