Q. Can I change the itinerary or destinations on the day? Can I specify places I want to go in advance? expand_more
Rickshaw touring routes, walking destinations, and photo shooting locations can be flexibly changed on the day according to your requests. However, changes or cancellations on the day cannot be made for “itineraries requiring advance arrangements” such as special viewings of hidden temples, ryotei (traditional restaurants), or ochaya (tea houses) (a 100% cancellation fee will apply as arrangements have already been made). If you have desired locations or arrangements, please consult our concierge at least “one week in advance”.
Q. Can elderly parents with weak legs (or wheelchair users) participate? expand_more
Yes, they can participate. If you consult us in advance, we will propose a special itinerary or package that selects routes with fewer steps and minimizes physical strain. For getting on and off the rickshaw, we provide a step stool, and our staff will safely assist you, so please be assured.
Q. What happens to the tour if it rains or snows? expand_more
Unless there is dangerous weather like a typhoon, tours will proceed even on rainy or snowy days. Rickshaws are fully equipped with rain roofs and special rain covers for your legs, so you can enjoy a comfortable ride without getting wet. The glossy wet stone pavements and snow-covered streets of Kyoto offer an exceptional charm unseen on sunny days, and it is actually highly rated by customers as a very luxurious experience.
Q. Are there any additional charges on the day (such as admission fees or food and drinks) besides the plan price? expand_more
Basically, no additional fees will be incurred for the listed plan contents (pre-arranged admission fees, food and drinks, etc.). However, admission fees for facilities additionally incurred due to route changes on the day, and food/drinks or souvenirs purchased personally by the customer, must be paid by the customer themselves on-site. Also, if you wish to extend the time, a separate extension fee will be charged.
Q. What are the payment methods and when does the cancellation fee apply? expand_more
Payment is by advance credit card settlement at the time of booking. For cancellations, we will refund “completely free of charge” if you notify us up to 48 hours before the experience. Please note that a 50% cancellation fee applies for 24-48 hours before, and a 100% cancellation fee applies within 24 hours or for no-shows.
Q. I want to entertain foreign VIP guests. Is specialized guiding in foreign languages (English, Chinese, etc.) available? expand_more

Yes, it is perfectly fine to come empty-handed on the day. Everything is included in the plan, from all the necessary accessories for the kimono to authentic hair styling by professionals. We will keep your clothes and luggage at the shop, so you can enjoy sightseeing in Kyoto unburdened.
